Family it’s what matters!

Hello,

Well today I figured I would introduce my family they are what keep me going when things in the world seem stupid or even down right horrible. The picture below is most recent as of the date of this post. I must admit they are becoming quite hansom young men. This year is turning out to be well one of the best as me and my wife will be celebrating twenty years this year. Also the focus of this post will be for family as staying connected in this day and age is will slow at best.

So I will start with my eldest, Isaac he is truing out to be a strong willed person who will go far in life. While I am unaware of what he will become as it seems to change daily, I try and remind him that he should live life to the fullest and not let life dictate what is possible or even available to him. Isaac continue to impress me as he has already taken three semesters of classes at the local community college, giving him a jump in life and well improving the family tree as well I hope. So for a blast to the past I will show you pictures from the early days! Enjoy!

Below is a picture take when Isaac and I went fishing on the Owens river, I was trying to teach him how to cast. When I moved the pole over my shoulder this is swhen he walked behind me to see the pole. Upon the cast I heard a snap of the line. While my friend Dave and I looked for the lure we quickly realized by the screaming child behind us that the lure had hooked my sweet boy. At this time the rooster tail only had one barb in and was removable as long had Isaac did not move I would be able to quickly do field surgery.

I then placed him on the ground and whipped out my pliers and began to remove the hook, about this time Dave noticed there were lots of ants on the ground and then Isaac began twitching as he we being bitten repeatedly by red ants. For he was laying directly on an ant hill. This is when the second barb became lodged, So I stopped and picked the poor boy up then removed the ants and picked him up and ran for the car. About this time Dave yelled “Yah, I will get the poles and see you later” As I drove at a great pace towards Bishop where the nearest hospital in hopes of ending my sons pain. I then snapped this photo as Isaac was listening to the doctor telling him he was not the first and would not be the last child to undergo this removal process. I guess it was his way of comfort him. Mom then captioned the photo.

Below is a picture taken when he and I went swimming in the Chico Creek in Northern California, at what is called the Five Mile swimming pool.

One thing with Isaac is the is very photogenic, he loves to smile and is full of joy.

Well as you can see below he did make it in as I continued to feed and water the boy.

The picture above is typical of Isaac as he often uses silly jesters and such, this picture was taken in Alaska when he decided to visit his grandmother known as grandma neicy.

Here we see him enjoying our time at the beach with his brother Joseph whom I will talk about in a bit. Below is Isaac today, he drives a car and is quite responsible. However he does still act like a teenager as his room is never clean and well he knows almost everything one needs to know.

So, now I would like to introduce my second son Jacob. Jacob is a strong willed boy who craves structure, some would even say he is a bit autistic as he falls within the range but there exists no single trait which qualifies him as autistic. He does have a confirmed case of Hypertonia. A condition which affects the central nervous system, namely upper motor neuron lesions. Impaired ability of damaged motor neurons to regulate descending pathways gives rise to disordered spinal reflexes, and decreased synaptic inhibition. This means he has the opposite condition of a muscle builder. His symptoms include those of insufficient muscle activity, meaning Jacob tires easily and must work twice as hard to do things as other people. It also slows his metabolism significantly making him struggle with weight issues.

Many may not know but Jacob had curly blond hair until I cut his hair. April to this day was not happy as he did have a look which he has never had since.

Such a cutie.

This worries his mother and I but non the less we love him like no other. So below Jacob is on the left followed by Joseph in the stroller and Isaac on the right.

Below this picture was taken in Chico, I believe Jacob was two years old. I gave him bunny ears well because I should!

So, now I would like to introduce Joseph. Joseph was our last chance at having a little girl in the family. However this it was not meant to be, as the Hayman family has a running issue. Our family has never been able to produce girls. I remember my grandmother speaking to this fact as there only exists one girl each generation with this generation being a solid goose egg.

To explain; the only girl in my grandfathers family was his sister whom names escapes me at the moment, then in my fathers generation there was only his sister Kim, his brothers also had no girls only boys. In my fathers generation Kim, and Jerry also only had boys except my father who had my sister Trina. My generation which produced Alan, Toby, and myself all had boys, thus Joseph was the last shot. I can only hope one of my boys will have a little girl she will truly be a prize and treated like a princess.

So, one of my favorite pictures is next!

Joseph

Joseph loved wearing a steel bowl for like a month, it was adorable. Below was his picture shortly after he was born.

I included this photo below, as this day me and Joseph were at odds. I snapped this to remind me that my boys need compassion as well as a strong hand. This day he was almost in tears while showing me love and patience. One day he will read this and when that day comes I want him to know as a father we get it wrong as well. We must muddle our way through life. I am sorry Joseph and love you!

However days like these are few and far between so I focus on the days and smiles like the one below at the beach. Our family truly loves the beach.

Joseph continues to be a joy in my life, he is outgoing and helpful. He is no angel but for the most part he is turning into a great young man. This last weekend he became a cast master at Virginia Lakes.

Joseph and I arrived at the lake at sunrise transversed snow and then proceeded to catch fish, Joseph landed three and I landed ten. We had a wonderful time.

Until next time!
